Transform temporal resolution
What the transform can resolve, independent of what the data do. Empirical fraction temporally resolved must be read alongside it, or a property of the analysis is mistaken for a property of the brain.
Sintrinsic is the well-behaved metric and is plotted prominently: it falls monotonically from 257 ms at 4.00 Hz to 20 ms at 80.0 Hz.
Wbackward is shown with its instability intact, not smoothed. Through the beta band it takes the values 356, 600, 228, 50, 42 ms — non-monotone, and not interpretable as a smooth support curve there. Smoothing that away would hide the one thing the panel exists to show.
This curve does not explain the empirical gradient. The transform's temporal resolution and the measured gradient in fraction resolved are correlated in the obvious direction, but no causal claim is made: a shared frequency dependence is not evidence that one produces the other. Both are reported; neither is offered as the mechanism of the other.
